SERVICE BRAKES, AIR:SUPPLY:RESERVOIR/TANK

Without the control line being pressure-protected, in the event the control line is severed, air may suddenly be lost from the service reservoir system, causing the brakes to apply unexpectedly, increasing the risk of a crash.

EQUIPMENT

If the EMS cabinets become loose during a crash, the cabinets may become projectiles, increasing the risk of injury.

18V3500002018-05-29

SERVICE BRAKES, AIR

A loss of air to the air brake system could increase the risk of a crash.

SEAT BELTS:FRONT:ANCHORAGE

THE SEAT BELT MAY SEPARATE FROM THE CAB DURING A VEHICLE CRASH AND FAIL TO PROPERLY RESTRAIN THE OCCUPANT. THIS MAY RESULT IN PERSONAL INJURY TO THE SEAT OCCUPANT.

Two 2004 SPARTAN METROSTARs can have entirely different histories, and a recall campaign usually covers a build-date window rather than a whole model year — which a VIN does not encode, so only the door-jamb label settles it. Scanning the VIN adds the decode, the crash tests, the fuel economy and the complaints matched to that exact engine, trim and assembly plant.
