Complaints are reports from owners of this model year, not findings about any particular vehicle, and a model that sold in large numbers will collect more of them. They are counted here as filed; nothing is inferred from them.

20V1920002020-04-02

ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:12V/24V/48V BATTERY:CABLES

An electrical short circuit may drain the battery, preventing the emergency vehicle from being able to operate, thereby increasing the risk of injury in the event of an emergency.

16V5690002016-08-01

POWER TRAIN:MANUAL TRANSMISSION

If the power output cannot be changed, once the fire truck arrives at the scene, it may not be able to pump water to aid in extinguishing the fire, increasing the risk of injury.

16V2940002016-05-12

EQUIPMENT

If the strainer and/or debris enters the pump, and the operator is forced to shut down the pump, reducing firefighting effectiveness, there could be an increased risk of injury.

16V1290002016-03-03

POWER TRAIN:AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION

An unexpected shift in the transmission could result in a vehicle crash.

15V7230002015-11-02

POWER TRAIN:AXLE ASSEMBLY

If the hex nuts are not tightened to specification, the driveshaft may disconnect from the drive axle, resulting in a loss of propulsion and increasing the risk of a crash.

Two 2016 KME PREDATORs can have entirely different histories, and a recall campaign usually covers a build-date window rather than a whole model year — which a VIN does not encode, so only the door-jamb label settles it. Scanning the VIN adds the decode, the crash tests, the fuel economy and the complaints matched to that exact engine, trim and assembly plant.
