Complaints are reports from owners of this model year, not findings about any particular vehicle, and a model that sold in large numbers will collect more of them. They are counted here as filed; nothing is inferred from them.

Recall campaigns 5 of 5

20V6920002020-11-10

POWER TRAIN:AXLE ASSEMBLY:AXLE SHAFT

The failed bracket could result in a loss of park function which can cause unintended vehicle movement, and loss of motive power while driving which increases the risk of a crash.

20V0720002020-02-10

SUSPENSION:REAR

A fractured rear toe link will cause a sudden change in vehicle handling and increase the risk of a crash.

16V6210002016-08-25

FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE:DELIVERY:FUEL PUMP

A loss of power to the fuel pump will cause the engine to stall or prevent the vehicle from starting, increasing the risk of a crash.

14V3930002014-07-02

POWER TRAIN:AXLE ASSEMBLY:AXLE SHAFT

If the halfshaft and linkshaft become disengaged while driving, power will no longer be transmitted to the wheels, increasing the risk of a vehicle crash. Additionally, if the parking brake is not applied before exiting the vehicle, the vehicle may roll away despite the transmission being placed in 'Park', increasing the risk of injury to exiting occupants and bystanders.

14V2850002014-05-29

EXTERIOR LIGHTING

This corrosion may result in a short circuit, increasing the risk of a fire.

Two 2014 FORD TAURUSs can have entirely different histories, and a recall campaign usually covers a build-date window rather than a whole model year — which a VIN does not encode, so only the door-jamb label settles it. Scanning the VIN adds the decode, the crash tests, the fuel economy and the complaints matched to that exact engine, trim and assembly plant.
